Keep Safe, and Singapore will see you during your next visit
Singapore takes proactive measures to keep the travel and hospitality industries safe
We'd love nothing more than to see people chase their holiday dreams and passions in Singapore. For now, we should take a pause, stay home and stay safe. Singapore has joined hands with travel and hospitality partners to take important measures to keep the ‘Garden City’ safe for travellers when they return.
SG CLEAN
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and Enterprise Singapore (ESG) have introduced SG Clean quality mark to the tourism and lifestyle sectors to rally businesses and the public to uphold good sanitation standards and hygiene practices. The SG Clean quality mark will focus on certifying establishments that experience heavy human traffic daily, such as shopping malls, hotels, tourist attractions, MICE conference venues, preschools, schools and transport nodes. Currently, several establishments have been identified as SG Clean which includes food and retail businesses in malls such as Plaza Singapura and ION Orchard; Grand Hyatt Singapore; and the Singapore Visitor Centre at Orchard Gateway.

TRACE TOGETHER
The Singapore Government has introduced the “Trace Together” a contact-tracing smartphone application to allow the local authorities to be exposed to confirmed coronavirus cases. Should any of the users be infected, the Ministry of Health Singapore will be able to quickly trace other users they have been in close contact with, allowing easier identification of potential cases that will work to curb the spread of the coronavirus in Singapore.

AT ATTRACTIONS AND VENUES
MARINA BAY SANDS
Marina Bay Sands (MBS) has attained the SG Clean certification because of the responsible safety measures that were undertaken to safeguard public health. MBS have implemented temperature screening at all of their 25 entry points. Hand sanitisers and surgical masks are also available at all concierge desks for all public and travellers. There is also increased frequency to deep clean across the property and back-of-house showcases to ensure the safety of the public and travellers.

RESORTS WORLD SENTOSA
Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) has also put in place precautionary measures across the integrated resort to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. Thermal scanners are implemented at every key entry point and there are over 270 hand sanitisers available across the resort for public and travellers to access. RWS has also taken on the responsibility and safety measurements to ensure their team’s safety by making it a mandate that every RWS employee has to take their temperatures twice daily. RWS has also adhered to guidelines set by the National Environment Agency by increasing the frequency of deep cleaning, disinfection and sanitisation at every guest touchpoint.

WILDLIFE RESERVES SINGAPORE
To deliver the best possible experience while being alert to the current situation, Wildlife Reserve Singapore has suspended several services until further notice as they adhere to the Singapore Government’s guidelines to practice social distancing of 1-meter between each other. Measurements were taken to reduce capacity in F&B outlets so that diners can dine separately from one another. As a basic safety precaution, they have also placed digital contact tracing and temperature screening for visitors before entering the park.

GARDENS BY THE BAY
Gardens by the Bay is following strict precautions that go above the typical mandatories such as thermal scanners, hand sanitizers, and regular disinfectants. The location has made it mandatory for its visitors to submit a declaration form to enter the indoor park. Via the adept usage of technology, they have also incorporated the effort to clean airflow in these attractions with High-Performance Germicidal Ultra Violet (C) emitters which are similar to those used in healthcare institutions.
